    Microneedling – stimulating the skin to renew itself

    In microneedling, a device with very fine needles creates thousands of tiny channels in the skin. The skin responds with its natural repair process and forms new collagen and elastin. This makes the complexion smoother, finer and firmer step by step.

    We work with the Dermapen® 4 MD by Dermapenworld. The needle depth can be adjusted between 0.2 and 3.0 mm for each area, so we treat delicate areas such as the eye area differently from the forehead, cheeks or scars.

    Every treatment starts with a skin analysis. We discuss whether microneedling alone, a combination with active ingredients or another treatment such as a skin booster best suits your skin.

    Applications

    The fine microchannels are a controlled stimulus for the skin. They close again within a few hours, but the renewal beneath continues for weeks. In addition, active ingredients can penetrate the skin more effectively through the channels.

    Common reasons are enlarged pores, uneven skin texture, fine lines, acne scars, stretch marks and dull skin. The neck, décolletage and hands can also be treated.

    We offer microneedling at two levels. Cosmetic microneedling uses a shallow needle depth and suits pores, glow and a fresher complexion. Medical microneedling is performed by our team of physicians. It works deeper and is intended for acne scars, stretch marks and more pronounced skin changes. Which level suits you is clarified in the skin analysis.

    On request we combine microneedling with a suitable active ingredient, for example hyaluronic acid or, in medical microneedling, polynucleotides (PDRN). Which addition makes sense for your skin is discussed during the consultation.

    Durability & Aftercare

    The skin renews itself over several weeks after each session. For a clear result we usually plan a course of several sessions 4–6 weeks apart. Touch-ups then maintain the complexion.

    Frequently Asked Questions

    We apply numbing cream beforehand. Most patients then only feel a slight tingling or vibration.

    The skin is red afterwards, similar to a mild sunburn. This usually subsides within one to three days. In the following days the skin may be a little dry or flake slightly.

    That depends on the goal. For pores and texture three sessions are often enough; acne scars usually need more. The interval is usually 4–6 weeks.

    Many notice a fresher complexion after one to two weeks. Collagen building continues for weeks; the full result shows after the course.

    On the first day, please avoid make-up, peels or active ingredients such as retinol, and sport. Use consistent sun protection for several days and avoid sauna and tanning beds. You will receive detailed care instructions to take home.

    Microneedling is possible all year round. Autumn and winter are particularly favourable because sun exposure is lower and a course can be completed comfortably by spring.

    Yes, for example with skin boosters, polynucleotides or wrinkle treatments. We plan the order and intervals during the consultation.
